Guillotines and Trimmers Product Range
Rotary trimmers cut using a circular blade that rotates as the cutting head is pushed or pulled against the paper. Modern rotary action drawing paper trimmers are designed for fast, accurate trimming of all types of drawing, plots, and laminated media, including paper, vellum, film, and more. Technology plays a central role: The cutting heads of rotary trimmers are equipped with a precision-ground, rotating, self-sharpening round blade which is re-sharpened by the base plate each time a cut is made. This ensures a sharp cut and long blade life. Films and other soft materials can also be cut to size by rotary trimmers. All rotary trimmers have an automatic paper clamping system which is applied at the cutting edge to prevent the paper, photographs and films from slipping. The work table surface is gridded with popular paper sizes marked out for location of the adjustable paper guide
Guillotines employ the traditional cutting action of an end pivot-blade operated by downward manual force. Quality and cost are often determined by the number of sheets of average paper, 80 gsm, the guillotine can cut on one pass. Maximum paper capacities are often higher than for rotary trimmers, but should not be exceeded, so larger quantity jobs must be done in stages. A paper guillotine with a larger cutting capacity will make it easier to cut a lot of paper at one time and these machines tend to have the sharpest blades available. All our guillotines are fitted with blade guards, paper clamps and the blades are spring tensioned to prevent the blade from free fall. The work tables surface is gridded with popular paper sizes marked out for location of the adjustable paper guide. |
